Highlights of the plan

Tayuu procession

Tayu Dochu "Special Performance"

This is a ceremony in which the highest ranking Tayu parade around in gorgeous costumes and high geta sandals while drawing the "Uchihachimonji" (Chinese character for "nai-hachi") sign. The only active Tayu embodies the pinnacle of dignity and art.

Wachigaiya "Special Opening: Kashino Ceremony"

Wachigaiya "Special Opening: Kashino Ceremony"

This is a formal ceremony when Shimabara Tayu welcomes guests. The Tayu gracefully appears and greets guests with a fan, encapsulating ancient aesthetics and etiquette. You can witness this moment, like a scene from a play, in the Wachigai-ya parlor.
